Earning both his Doctorate and Bachelor's Degrees from the esteemed Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, he was mentored by preeminent medical professionals, deepening his expertise in varied fields ranging from general ophthalmology to specialized retina and cornea studies.
Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Wada's professional prowess is noteworthy. As a TPA-certified optometrist, he is adept at diagnosing and treating an extensive array of eye ailments, with particular emphasis on Glaucoma and Lacrimal dilation and irrigation. In his quest for continuous growth, he attained certification for Immunizations from the state board of optometry. During the COVID-19 pandemic's demanding phase, Dr. Wada showcased his community spirit, volunteering at the Anaheim Convention Center to administer vaccines, embodying the practical application of his recent certification.

Dr. Ryan Funai
Dr. Ryan Funai, a native of Huntington Beach, CA, pursued his academic journey in Biology at the University of California, Riverside, before earning his optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. His diverse experience spans Indian health reservations, community health centers, LA county prisons, and private practices in Orange County, reflecting his commitment to delivering comprehensive patient care.
As a former National American Optometric Student Association President, Dr. Funai has a strong history of advocating for patient care legislation in Sacramento and Washington DC. He continues his advocacy and support for patient health through active participation in volunteer committees with the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Funai is certified in Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) for glaucoma management, and he specializes in dry eye treatments and pediatric eye examinations. His philosophy of care is rooted in treating each patient with the utmost respect and consideration, akin to how he would treat friends and family.
In his personal time, Dr. Funai is dedicated to medical missions, enjoys traveling, and has recently embraced running. You might find him running along the scenic beaches of Southern California.
